Does this hospital look okay for delivery?
I'm just a little nervous because I used to live in the US and had my first child there. This will be my first time giving birth in Canada (we moved for work a couple of years ago). This hospital offers SO many options that I never had before that it almost makes me nervous. I took the virtual tour and it freaked me out a bit. Anyone who has a few minutes, could you check it out and give me some advice? Last time I just went in, only my husband could come and I stayed in bed the whole time. Which options have you tried and did they work for you?

Also, since it's all free up here, I can choose to go to any of the other 5 hospitals in the area. Since I've done that before, do you think that may make me feel more comfortable?
This is the best hospital in BC to deliver at. I delivered there last year (March 07). The staff was great and we had no complaints about the hospital. Just so you are aware though, your OBGYN must be registered with the hospital, there are strict residency requirements to be admitted (you must live within Vancouver city boundaries OR be a high risk/ special circumstance), and you must be registered with them before your 20th week of pregnancy. Everyone wants to deliver there so they've had to really tighten the requirements. I will most definatley deliver there again.........however I think it's more important for you to find a doctor that you trust and have a good relationship with, not choose the doctor based on which hospital they deliver at.
