Pay the extra $60 to expedite your passport application and send it Express Mail from the post office or at least Priority Mail w/delivery confirmation. The passport web site indicates that a passport can be received in 2 weeks with an additional charge but it seems to only be for renewals. There are companies that will do it in as little as 24 hours for $300 plus government fees. Here are some web sites.
