How to get the best deal flying to Montreal (YUL) from Asia?
So I need to get back home, and I can fly from either major cities in Asia: HKG, BKK, SIN - so far HK flights seem to be cheaper.
Date: January 12th-14th (I heard it's cheaper on Tues-Wed so I was trying to book then)
I am pretty flexible, solo traveler...
My question: should I wait for a last minute deal?
I searched 2 things: flights in january, and flights leaving in 2-3 days. The latter are at 600$CAD, while the cheapest other one is at 900$CAD (one way), from HKD.
Are they cheaper bc of the proximity or bc october is not high season? Can I realistically get a better deal if I wait? or will I end up paying 2000$ for a ticket?
Any input appreciated. I am searching on Expedia, Cheaptickets and Continental Airlines.
