Which website is the absolute BEST place to get great last minute travel deals/packages (from Dayton/Columbus/Cincinnati/Indianapolis)??

The absolute best in my opinion is Skyauction.com. My wife and I went from Cincinnati to Orlando on Delta, and then spent a full week in a 2 bedroom condo 2 years ago for $400, all inclusive. We've also gotten condo's in other places for entire weeks for anywhere from 250 - 350. And these places are way, way nicer than any hotel. Read the whole auction description and be aware of the fees that they charger- but I can guarantee, especially for last minute travel, that they will give you the best deal of anywhere that you're going to find.

Or book it earlier like a week or more before the travel? Please advise. Plus which sites/travel agents offer the best packages? Thanks!

Book as soon as possible as prices rise the closer to the vacation date. Book separate air and hotel. Airlines do not discount fares to anyone anymore. The price will be the same no mater what site you look at. Be careful in that site will charge a fee at the very end when you go to pay.

The problem with package deals is they have the worst times for the flights and mix with the worst rooms available at the hotels.

So the earlier to book the better.
